Manage Money Wales is a community-led social enterprise working across Rhondda Cynon Taf and South Wales to reduce poverty, strengthen communities and create positive environmental and social change.

Our work brings together financial inclusion, poverty reduction, climate action, volunteering, wellbeing and social connection. At the heart of our work is the Community Sharing Shop in Porth – a welcoming community hub where people can access practical support, free resources, activities and opportunities to connect, contribute and thrive.

Our Mission

To provide a service to help equip people in Wales with the necessary financial knowledge and capability they need to manage their financial circumstances effectively.

Aims and Objectives

We promote the profile of the Financial Inclusion Strategy and Tackling Poverty Agenda, set out by the Welsh Government by:

  • Promoting awareness of the benefits of financial planning.
  • Working in partnership with other organisations with a view to improving people’s financial health.
  • Raising awareness of access for individuals to mainstream financial services (e.g. banking).
  • Raising awareness of access to money and debt advice.
  • Improving people’s financial capability by increasing their financial literacy.
  • Helping individuals maximise their income.
