We are offering free financial guidance and support for those affected by COVID-19, living in Rhondda Cynon Taff.
How we can help?
We will provide one to one confidential and impartial financial guidance and support, online, via telephone, and face to face (once able to, and following government guidelines).
Some of the support we offer are
- Working with you to manage and priortise debt (e.g. bills, rent and credit cards).
- Ensure that you are receiving all the income you are entitled to (e.g. grants, benefits and relief funds).
- Maximise your income by working with you to reduce and prioritise expenditure.
- Increase your scam awareness. In March 2020, Action Fraud recorded a 400% increase in scams (Source: Friends Against Scams).
We also have limited funding for welfare packages, these could include items such as non perishable food and toiletries, during and after the pandemic, if you may may need to self isolate, are vulnerable or do not have existing sufficient funds.
Aside from the financial aspect, we recognise that financial difficulties can lead to a domino effect and create or increase stress, relationship breakdown, and much more. Over the years, we have built close relationships with local and national organisations that can provide free and specific support (e.g. mental health, domestic violence etc) in which we can introduce you to.
